Dawn's Difference

Having remodeled homes for 20 years I can highly recommend Dawn to head up a project whether large or small. Her personality and expertise allow her to thoroughly listen to your concept and work through the often maddening details to create the space your dreams. She's creative, thoughtful, meticulous, reliable, and delivers on her promises. It was such a pleasure working with her I can't help but want to tackle another project with her soon.

Dawn was a joy to work with, but all of the subs she employs are extraordinary as well. Everyone we dealt with was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous.

My wife and I were recently referred to Dawn for the remodel of our home. What immediately struck me about Dawn was the level of care she provided. She asked detailed questions about our remodel goals and addressed our concerns regarding the project. Dawn then presented my wife and I with ideas that complimented our initial thoughts and surpassed what we believed was within our budget. As the remodel progressed Dawn’s experience shone through as we were meeting deadlines, enjoying a clean living environment and realizing the transformation of our home. We can’t imagine having built our house with anyone but Dawn. Her organizational ability meant that things moved forward more quickly than we could have imagined. All throughout the build process, she gave us all sorts of nice ideas for doing things that added beauty or functionality to rooms in the house that we never would have thought of otherwise. And, she somehow always managed to do it while keeping us within budget.

Dawn Matze was referred to us. We found her to be very professional, extremely knowledgeable about the building industry, a great listener, and creative with her ideas to make our home function more efficiently by giving us more useable space, especially in the kitchen area. Dawn always met us with a positive attitude and worked within our timelines and budget by providing us with a number of options from which to choose from. This job went very well and we are completely pleased with the outcome.

She was on job site everyday overseeing the contractors. At the end of every day, after workers left for the day she swept and cleaned up around the site making it all cleared for the next day of work to begin (typical woman to clean up after the men when they leave). At the start of every day the property was in pristine condition. She held our hand throughout the project when needed and gave advice when requested; also gave suggestions when she felt we needed direction. Most importantly, she stayed within the proposed budget.

My father started building houses when I was 2 years old. I have built numerous houses myself, so when searching for a competent general contractor I find it very difficult as my expectations are extremely high and sometimes unrealistic. Dawn and I may not have always agreed on the method but I have to say she always rose to the challenge and at times exceeded my expectations. Contemporary design is extremely difficult to do let alone do well, less is always more, there is NO molding to cover a mistake. Dawn is honest, fair, and reasonable. She has tenacity with a get the job done mentality. I would hire Dawn again, I would recommend her to my friends and family. She is a true professional in her field.
